Mission Statement
The Filipino-American Association of Iowa is a non-union,
non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit association.
It exists to promote and enhance cultural and heritage awareness
of the Philippines among Iowans; to promote closer fellowship between
Filipinos and Americans; to welcome Filipinos and Filipino-Americans
to the community; to aid members in time of need; and to extend
charitable and humanitarian assistance to the community and to
the Philippines.

Want to become a Certified World Record Holder? At CelebrAsian, visitors will have the opportunity to be apart of the record for Most People Simultaneously Eating a Fortune Cookie - with a chance to win great prizes! The record attempt will take place at 1:00pm around the stage in the East Campus area. To participate, visitors will need to register and receive their fortune cookie by 12:50pm. Registration will begin after opening ceremonies at the Entertainment Tent at 10:00am. Visitors will need to check their fortunes after participating in the record to receive their prizes.
In advancing its mission, IAA represents and serves the following Asian community groups: Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Lao, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, Taidam, Thailand, and Vietnam. We also have representatives from the Latino, African American and mainstream community.
